We are looking forward to seeing you all again from the 4th of July.

Covid has inevitably changed the way that we operate our boats. The Duchy have installed a number of hand sanitising stations on the quays and the toilets are open for hand washing if you prefer on all islands. Please hand sanitise prior to getting onboard.

We are requesting that passengers carry their own luggage as much as possible this year.

We have established thorough cleaning procedures on all our boats between trips.

Please click on the additional Information link below for detailed instructions for using our services.

Additional info

Do I need to wear a face covering / mask when I travel?

It is now mandatory to wear a face covering when using our services while onboard and while embarking / disembarking. There are some exemptions, including passengers with a physical or mental illness or impairment, or a disability that means they cannot put on, wear or remove a face covering. Children under the age of 11 will also be exempt. A full list of exemptions can be found on the UK Government Website.

I have observed another passenger not wearing a face covering and breaking the rules, what can I do?

Please bear in mind that the passenger may have a valid reason to not be wearing a face covering and this may not be immediately visible to you. For the sake of passenger privacy we would encourage you not to approach others about not wearing a face covering. If you are concerned please speak to a crew member.

Are the Isles of Scilly open for holidays?

The Government have announced that people go on holiday from the 4th of July.

Are you allowing for social distancing?

We’re committed to doing all we can to allow for as much space between individuals as possible. Due to the nature of our buisness as a public transport provider, there will be instances whereby facilitating the optimum social distancing between individuals is not always possible. This may be especially likely as demand for travel increases. It is also impossible for us to fully control all individual passenger movement while onboard due to the inherent nature of ferry travel. Maximising social distancing requires cooperation from all passengers.

Can I pay by cash onboard ?

We are unable to accept cash onboard. We have a PDQ machine onboard the Spirit and a card option for the Enterprise where you can pay by card. We will be able to accept contactless payments onboard both of our boats. Alternatively you can download our St Agnes Boating App where you can buy tickets and check boat departure times. Tickets can also be available via our website.

What trips will you be operating ?

We will be operating a daily service to St Mary’s during July and August. There will also be day trips to Tresco, Bryher and St Martin’s as we have done in previous years. At the present time we are awaiting Government guidance on whether we are able to operate our sea safaris. If we are able to operate them they will commence on the 10th of July. Please contact us at john@stagnesbiating.co.uk for more information.

Can I buy a Weekly Pass ?

Weekly passes will be available to buy via our website and onboard our boats.

Is there a toilet onboard?

Our toilet onboard will be closed for trips between the islands. Toilets are available on the various quays.

Do you have any luggage restrictions ?

We will be requesting that passengers carry their own bags as much as possible. If you are arriving via the Scillonian your bags may be loaded directly onto our boats. When we arrive at St Agnes bags will be unloaded and placed on the quay. You may be asked by your accommodation provider to place items in vehicles.

I think I have COVID symptoms can I Travel?

Please do not travel if you have experienced Coronavirus symptoms within the last 7 days, share a household with someone who has had symptoms in the last 14 days, or have been contacted by NHS Test & Trace. If you feel ill during your stay, please contact your accommodation provider. They will be able to advise you on your options. The Council of The Isles of Scilly have put a repatriation scheme in place for COVID-19 and NHS Test & Track.

Do I need to bring anything for the journey ?

We would recommend having a supply of face coverings for your journey. Hand hygiene has been shown to be particularly useful so please bring hand sanitiser with you and clean your hands regularly.

How does your app work with a weekly pass?

If you use our app to purchase a weekly pass there is no requirement to book on each days trips. The App won’t accept daily bookings if you have a weekly pass.

Can I buy a saver fare to St Mary’s or the other islands?

Yes you can buy a saver fare to St Mary’s by using the App. You buy your saver fare under the weekly pass tab. A saver fare costs £28.
